Celebratory and also provided each graduate with a

MSUBA highlights the only African American
Gymnasts on the Spartans Gymnastics Team - Rochelle Robinson.
She is the only Spartan to qualify for the NCAA Championships
(all-around); only the eighth non-alternate individual qualifier
in Michigan State history and also has scored a perfect 10 on
the vault competition in multiple meets. To read the amazing

MSUBA in conjunction with OCAT, MCNair/SROP,
BGSA, and College of Engineering Diversity Programs Office
presents 'STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
Series Forum' on Tuesday March 25, 2008 from 6:30 pm till
8:30 pm in the MSU Union Gold Rooms A & B. We still need
alums who are in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering,
and Math to volunteer to be a part of the forum panel to discuss
their experiences in there fields with current students. The
MSUBA encourages all alums in those fields to get involved or
volunteer their time if possible for the forum. Please contact

The
BSA Black Rally Power took place on Oct 24, 2006 at
the Pheasant Theatre in the Wharton Center and was a
great success with a great turn out. Rich, Veda,
Sandra, and Jeanette attended the events. They
also had author Omar Tyree and a member of the NAACP
Detroit Chapter speak as well. The BSA acknowledged and thanked
the MSUBA at the event as well and we had special
seating for the event,
Since
Prop 2 was passed on Nov 7.,
the
student have been staging multiple rallies and
campaigns to ask the university and the Lou Simon
to take a stand on the issue as the U of M
President did with the law suit and initiative
to combat the proposal.

Nov 15, 2006 in Wilson Hall Auditorium Cousin Jeff
Johnson of "The Cousin Jeff Chronicles'
and BET Rap City's " The Basement" from
BET (Black Entertainment Television) came to
campus and give a excellent speech on ' "Unclaimed
Legacy: Who Will Lead the Next Social
Movement?"
