Michigan State University Multicultural Center Ribbon Cutting & Open House
Join us on Friday, February 7, 2025, as we celebrate the opening of the Michigan State University Multicultural Center. Looking to a new chapter, we also honor the decades of advocacy that culminated in this historic facility at the heart of the MSU campus.
Time & Location
Feb 07, 2025, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM EST
MSU Multicultural Center, East Lansing, MI, USA
About the event
Ribbon-cutting Ceremony - 2:00 p.m.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature remarks from university and student leaders as well as alumni who have advocated through the decades for this dream to come true.
Attendance to the ribbon-cutting ceremony is by invite only. As space is limited, we look to incorporate groups of MSU alumni, students, faculty, and staff through the decades who have played a vital role in advocating for a free-standing facility.
Light refreshments will be served and an open house will take place following the ceremony.
Open House Celebration - 3:30 p.m.
An open house celebration will follow immediately after the ceremony and is open to the community. The event offers the opportunity to tour the facility and interact with the Office of Multicultural Enrichment and Advocacy (OMEA).
